देहरादून। जम्मू-कश्मीर में पाकिस्तानी सेना की नियंत्रण रेखा (एलएसी) पर गोलीबारी के दौरान उत्तराखंड का लाल देश पर कुर्बान हो गया है। देर शाम शहीद का पार्थिव शरीर गढ़वाल राइफल्स मुख्यालय लाया गया। आज उनके पार्थिव शरीर को वहीं रखा जाएगा।

शनिवार को उनका पार्थिव शरीर उनके घर ले लाया जाएगा और उसके बाद अंतिम संस्कार किया जाएगा। पुंछ में नियंत्रण रेखा पर पांच दिन की खामोशी के बाद पाकिस्तानी सेना ने गुरुवार को बिना उकसावे के कीरनी, कस्बा, दिगवार, माल्टी और दलान सेक्टर में सैन्य चौकियों और रिहायशी इलाकों को निशाना बनाकर भारी गोलाबारी की।

कीरनी सेक्टर में जेसीओ सूबेदार स्वतंत्र सिंह शहीद हो गए, जबकि एक नागरिक गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया।उत्तराखंड के पौड़ी गढ़वाल के कोटद्वार तहसील के ओडियारी गांव के रहने वाले गंभीर रूप से घायल जेसीओ को एयरलिफ्ट कर कमान अस्पताल उधमपुर ले जाया गया था, जहां उनका निधन हो गया। शहीद स्वतंत्र सिंह के परिवार में माता, पत्नी, दो बेटे और दो बेटियां हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री और विस अध्यक्ष ने व्यक्त किया गहरा दुःख

मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने जम्मू-कश्मीर के पुंछ में एलओसी पर पाकिस्तान की ओर से सीजफायर के उल्लंघन के दौरान पौड़ी गढ़वाल के वीर सपूत,16 गढ़वाल राइफल के सूबेदार स्वतंत्र सिंह की शहादत पर गहरा दुःख व्यक्त किया है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि ईश्वर पुण्यात्मा को अपने चरणों में स्थान दे और शोक संतप्त परिजनों को सम्बल प्रदान करें। कहा कि राज्य सरकार इस दुःख की घड़ी में शहीद के परिजनों के साथ खड़ी है।

विधानसभा अध्यक्ष प्रेम चंद अग्रवाल ने सूबेदार स्वतंत्र सिंह की शहादत पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त किया। विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि देश की रक्षा के लिए अदम्य साहस एवं शौर्य का परिचय देने वाले सूबेदार स्वतंत्र सिंह की शहादत पर हमें गर्व है। अग्रवाल ने ईश्वर से पुण्यात्मा को अपने चरणों में स्थान देने तथा परिजनों को सम्बल प्रदान करने की प्रार्थना की।राज्यपाल ने भी व्यक्त किया गहरा दुःख

राज्यपाल बेबी रानी मौर्य ने जम्मू-कश्मीर के पुंछ में एलओसी पर देश की रक्षा करते हुए पौड़ी गढ़वाल उत्तराखंड निवासी, 16 गढ़वाल राईफल्स के सूबेदार स्वतंत्र सिंह की शहादत पर दुःख व्यक्त करते हुए उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की है।

राज्यपाल श्रीमती मौर्य ने कहा कि शहीद स्वतंत्र सिंह ने देश की रक्षा के लिए सर्वोच्च बलिदान दिया है। राज्यपाल ने शोक संतप्त परिजनों को शक्ति प्रदान करने की ईश्वर से कामना की है।
