बता दें कि चुनाव में करारी हार के बाद अध्यक्ष गणेश गोदियाल ने हार की जिम्मेदारी लेते हुए पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया था। कांग्रेस में वर्तमान में प्रीतम और हरीश गुट के बीच इन महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर नॉमिनेट होने को लेकर जदोजहद चल रही थी, लेकिन हरीश गुट ने पार्टी हाई कमान का भरोसा जीतते हुए सभी पदों पर अपना वर्चस्व कायम किया है।
