इंस्पेक्टर की इस हरकत से भड़के लोगों ने जमकर नारेबाजी शुरू कर दी। जिससे मामला तनावपूर्ण हो गया। हालांकि समय रहते मौके पर तहसीलदार और एसडीएम के आने और मामले में जल्द रिपोर्ट अल्पसंख्यक आयोग को भेजने के आश्वासन पर प्रदर्शन कर रहे लोग शांत हो गए। लोगों ने चेतावनी दी कि जब तक सरकारी जमीन से निर्मित धार्मिक स्थल नहीं हटाया गया तब तक उनका आंदोलन जारी रहेगा।

फिलहाल मामला अल्पसंख्यक आयोग में होने के कारण लोगों की निगाहें प्रशासन की रिपोर्ट पर टिकी हुई है। इधर, इंस्पेक्टर के टोन डाउन का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया में वॉयरल हो गया। इससे लोगों में जमकर बहस छिड़ गई है।

टिहरी के कोटी भागीरथीपुरम के पास खांडखाल में सरकारी जमीन पर धामिर्क स्थल का विवाद पिछले कुछ दिनों से चर्चाओं में है। आंदोलन कर रहे ग्रामीणों को कुछ दिन पहले प्रशासन ने 15 दिन के भीतर निर्मित स्थल हटाने का भरोसा दिया था। आज रविवार को स्थानीय लोग और कुछ संगठन के लोग धार्मिक स्थल हटाये को मौके पर पहुंचे। लोगों में गुुस्सा था कि 15 दिन के आश्वासन के बाद भी कार्रवाई नहीं हुई। जिससे लोग प्रशासन के प्रति अपने गुस्से का इजहार कर रहे थे।

इस बीच पुलिस कानून व्यवस्था बनाये रखने को मौके पर पहुंची। लोग अपनी बात कह रहे थे कि अचानक जेब में हाथ डाले एक इंस्पेक्टर ने प्रदर्शन कर रहे युवक को ऊंची आवाज में कहा कि “टोन डाउन” करो। बस यहां से मामला बिगड़ गया। इंस्पेक्टर के इस व्यवहार पर युवक भड़कते हुए उलटा सवाल करने लगा कि उसने क्या गलत बोल दिया। बोलना क्या अपराध है। इससे मामला तनावपूर्ण हो गया।

बहरहाल इंस्पेक्टर के पीछे खड़े दारोगा और सिपाहियों ने इंस्पेक्टर को पीछे कर  लोगों को शांत कराया। इसके बाद लोग जमकर नारेबाजी करने लगे। लेकिन मौके पर एसडीएम अपूर्वा सिंह राजस्व टीम के साथ पहुंची।

उप जिलाधिकारी ने लोगों को बताया कि मामला अल्पसंख्यक आयोग में चल रहा है। आयोग में समय से रिपोर्ट भेजी जाएगी। इसके बाद नियमानुसार कार्रवाई होगी। इससे ग्रामीण कुछ हद तक शांत हुए। फिलहाल लोगों ने कहा कि जब तक मामले में पूरी कार्रवाई नहीं होती वह आंदोलन जारी रखेंगे।
