उत्तराखंड राज्य के कई जिलों के कोषागारों और उप कोषागारों में लाखों के गबन के मामले की जांच पड़ताल अभी पूरी भी नही हुई थी उधर एसबीआई भागीरथीपुरम के बैंक कैशियर ने खाताधारकों की जमा धनराशि, एफडी और म्यूचल फंड से फर्जीवाड़ा कर लाखों रुपये हड़प लिए। इस धोखाधड़ी का पता चलने पर खाताधारकों में हड़कंप मच गया।
गबन का खुलासा तब हुआ जब 10 जनवरी को बागी गांव की खाताधारक महिला पैसा निकालने बैंक पहुंची। उन्होंने रुपये निकालने का फार्म भरकर बैंक कर्मी को दिया, तो पता चला कि उनके खाते में केवल एक हजार 580 रुपये ही जमा हैं। इस गड़बड़ी से घबराई खाताधारक ने बैंक मैनेजर के पास जाकर बताया कि उनके खाते में 12 लाख चार हजार 962 रुपये थे।
इसके बाद खाताधारक ने अपनी एफडी चेक कराई, तो उसमें भी 5 लाख 58 हजार 570 रुपये भी गायब थे। अन्य खाताधारकों को गड़बड़ी का पता चलने पर जब उन्होंने अपनी जमा राशि चेक की तो जमा रकम गायब मिलने पर हंगामा खड़ा हो गया।
स्थानीय खाताधारक सुषमा देवी ने एसएसपी को दिए ज्ञापन में बताया कि उन्होंने 4 लाख रुपये का म्यूचल फंड खरीदा था, लेकिन बैंक से पता चला है कि फंड के चार लाख रुपये बैंक कैशियर विनयपाल सिंह नेगी के खाते में ट्रांसफर किए गए हैं। अभी तक खाताधारकों के 68 लाख रुपये की धोखाधड़ी सामने आई है।
बताया जा रहा है कि कैशियर ने अक्सर उन खाता धारकों को निशाना बनाया है, जो निकासी व जमा फार्म पर हस्ताक्षर की जगह अंगूठा लगाते हैं। इस धोखाधड़ी का पता चलने पर कई लोग बैंक पहुंच रहे हैं, जिससे अंदाजा लगाया जा रहा है कि अभी और धोखाधड़ी सामने आ सकती है।
पुलिस ने बताया कि कैशियर ने बैंक की स्टॉक मनी से भी करीब 13.50 लाख रुपये निकाले। इसका पता चलने पर बैंक प्रबंधक ने कैशियर से हड़पी गई राशि जमा कराने को कहा था, लेकिन उसके कुछ दिन बाद ही खाताधारकों से धोखाधड़ी की पोल खुल गई।
थानाध्यक्ष कमल मोहन भंडारी ने बताया कि प्राथमिक जांच में करीब 81 लाख 50 हजार रुपये के गबन का पता चला है। एसबीआई के शाखा मैनेजर विपिन गौतम ने धोखाधड़ी के आरोपी कैशियर विनयपाल सिंह नेगी के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज करवाया है।
