जनपक्ष टुडे संवाददाता, देहरादून। देहरादून-हरिद्वार राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर आईएसबीटी से अजबपुर रेलवे क्रॉसिंग तक सड़क चौड़ीकरण का कार्य फर्जी बैंक गारंटी के आधार पर आवंटित करने के मामले में लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधीक्षण अभियंता रणजीत सिंह और तत्कालीन अधिशासी अभियंता ओमपाल सिंह को निलम्बित किया है।

सोमवार को प्रमुख सचिव लोनिवि आरके सुधांशु की ओर से दोनों इंजीनियरों के निलंबन के आदेश किए हैं। प्रमुख सचिव ने बताया कि लोनिवि एनएच डिवीजन डोईवाला की ओर से राजमार्ग चौड़ीकरण परियोजना के तहत आईएसबीटी देहरादून से अजबपुर फ्लाईओवर तक सड़क चौड़ीकरण का निर्माण कार्य किया जाना था।

सचिव लोनिवि ने बताया कि राजमार्ग डिवीजन डोईवाला ने करीब 25 करोड़ के इस कार्य के लिए टेंडर आमंत्रित किए। जिसमें ठेकेदार द्वारा बैंक गारंटी जमा कराई गई। लेकिन ठेकेदार द्वारा दी गई बैंक गारंटी का सत्यापन करने से पहले ही अधीक्षण अभियंता और अधिशासी अभियंता ने कार्य आवंटित कर दिया। इसके बाद ठेकेदार ने काम शुरू भी कर दिया है। बाद में कराए गए सत्यापन में ठेकेदार की बैंक गारंटी फर्जी पाई गई है।

इस मामले में वित्तीय अनियमितता और लापरवाही को लेकर अधीक्षण अभियंता दसवां वृत्त लोनिवि, देहरादून रणजीत सिंह और एनएच खंड लोनिवि डोईवाला के तत्कालीन अधिशासी अभियंता ओमपाल सिंह को निलम्बित किया गया है।
