जनपक्ष टुडे ब्यूरो, देहरादून। उत्तराखंड के लोकपर्व बूढ़ी दिवाली (इगास) पर राजकीय अवकाश घोषित किए जाने का शासन ने आज आदेश जारी कर दिया है। 15 नवम्बर को इगास बग्वाल पर बैंक और कोषागार को छोड़कर बाकी सभी कार्यलयों और स्कूल कॉलेजों में छुट्टी रहेगी। ऐसा करके युवा मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने लंबी लकीर खींच दी है।

मुख्यमंत्री धामी के इस निर्णय से जहां एक ओर प्रदेश की जन भावनाओं का सम्मान हुआ है वहीं लोकपर्व के नाम पर सियासत करने वालों को भी करारा जवाब मिला है। उत्तराखंड के इतिहास में यह पहली बार हुआ है जब किसी सरकार ने लोकपर्व इगास को विशेष महत्व देते हुए राजकीय अवकाश घोषित किया है। धामी सरकार के इस निर्णय के बाद भविष्य में हर साल इगास पर छुट्टी का आदेश जारी नहीं करना पड़ेगा। साथ ही उनका यह निर्णय लोक संस्कृति परंपराओं के संरक्षण और संवर्धन के क्षेत्र में ऐतिहासिक माना जायेगा।

खास बात यह है क़ि मुख्यमंत्री ने अपने विशेषअधिकार का प्रयोग करते हुए रविवार को पड़ रहे इगास पर्व की छुट्टी सोमवार को स्वीकृत की है, ताकि लोग अपने पैतृक गाँव जाकर उल्लास के साथ बूढ़ी दिवाली मना सकें।

दरअसल पृथक राज्य गठन के बाद उत्तराखण्ड में लगातार मांग उठ रही थी कि इगास को सरकार खूब प्रचारित और प्रसारित करे, ताकि इस लोकपर्व का संरक्षण और संवर्धन हो सके, लेकिन हर सरकार ने इस मामले में जनभावनाओं को दरकिनार किए रखा।

तकरीबन दो दशक पुरानी इस मांग को अब युवा मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मजबूत इच्छाशक्ति दिखाते हुए पूरा करने का निर्णय लिया है। यह भी बता दें कि ऐसे भी कई पर्व हैं, जो उत्तराखंड में न के बराबर मनाए जाते हैं और उन पर्वों पर भी सरकार ने सार्वजनिक अवकाश घोषित किया है। ऐसे में सीएम धामी का विधानसभा चुनाव से पूर्व यह निर्णय जनहित में ही नहीं एक मास्टरस्ट्रोक के तौर पर भी देखा जा रहा है।

धामी सरकार ने इगास पर्व पर राजकीय अवकाश की घोषणा की हैं और इसे व्यापक स्तर पर उल्लास के साथ मानने का आह्वान भी किया है।उत्तराखंड में दीपावली के 11 दिन बाद लोक पर्व इगास मनाया जाता है। प्रदेश में इगास पर अवकाश घोषित करने की लगातार मांग उठ रही थी।

उत्तराखंड में 400 साल पुरानी है इगास पर्व मनाने की परंपरा

एक पौराणिक मान्यता के अनुसार करीब 400 साल पहले बीर भड़ माधो सिंह भंडारी के नेतृत्व में टिहरी, उत्तरकाशी, जौनसार और श्रीनगर समेत अन्य क्षेत्रों से योद्धाओं को बुलाकर सेना तैयार की गई थी और तिब्बत पर हमला बोलते हुए तिब्बत सीमा पर मुनारें गाड़ दी थी। इस दौरान बर्फ से पूरे रास्ते बंद हो गए। कहा जाता है कि पूरे गढ़वाल में उस साल दिवाली नहीं मनाई गई, लेकिन दीवाली के ग्यारह दिन बाद जब माधो सिंह युद्ध जीत कर वापस गढ़वाल पहुंचे तब पूरे इलाक़े के लोगों ने भव्य तरीक़े से दीवाली मनाई, तबसे ही गढ़वाल में इसे कार्तिक माह की एकादशी यानी इगास बग्वाल के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

उत्तराखंड में दीपावली के 11 दिन बाद लोक पर्व इगास मनाया जाता है। प्रदेश में इगास पर अवकाश घोषित करने की लगातार मांग उठ रही थी। इस कड़ी में गुरुवार को मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने इगास पर अवकाश की घोषणा की। उन्होंने गढ़वाली बोली में ट्वीट कर कहा कि उत्तराखंड की समृद्ध लोक संस्कृति के प्रतीक लोकपर्व इगास की अब छुट्टी रहेगी। सरकार का उद्देश्य है कि सभी इस त्योहार को धूमधाम से मनाएं और नई पीढ़ी को भी इस इस त्योहार से जोड़ें।

क्या है इगास पर्व

उत्तराखंड में बग्वाल, इगास मनाने की परंपरा है। दीपावली को यहां बग्वाल कहा जाता है, जबकि बग्वाल के 11 दिन बाद एक और दीपावली मनाई जाती है, जिसे इगास कहते हैं। पहाड़ की लोक संस्कृति से जुड़े इगास पर्व के दिन घरों की साफ-सफाई के बाद मीठे पकवान बनाए जाते हैं और देवी-देवताओं की पूजा की जाती है। साथ ही गाय व बैलों की पूजा की जाती है। शाम के वक्त गांव के किसी खाली खेत अथवा खलिहान में नृत्य के साथ भैलो खेला जाता है। भैलो एक प्रकार की मशाल होती है, जिसे नृत्य के दौरान घुमाया जाता है।
