जनपक्ष टुडे संवाददाता, ऋषिकेश: रविवार को मुनिकीरेती ऋषिकेश में उस समय हड़कंप मच गया जब प्रसिद्ध पर्यटन स्थल और टिहरी और पौड़ी को जोड़ने वाले लक्ष्मण झूला पुल की एक तार अचानक टूट गई, जिससे पुल पर होने वाली आवाजाही प्रतिबंधित कर दी गई है। पुल की तार टूटने के कारण सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए ये फैसला लिया गया है। प्रशासन के साथ ही लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंच गए हैं।
बताया जा रहा है कि यहां बजरंग सेतु नये पुल का निर्माण कार्य चल रहा है, जिसके लिए कंपनी की ओर से भारी भरकम मशीनें मौके पर लगाई गई हैं। मिट्टी उठाने वाली करीब 600 किलो वजनी बकेट से टकराकर पुल का संतुलन बनाने वाली तार रविवार की दोपहर टूट गई, जिससे पुल का संतुलन बिगड़ गया। संभावित खतरे को देखते हुए अब लोगों की आवाजाही पर भी रोक लगा दी गई है। पुल के बंद होने से लक्ष्मण झूला और तपोवन के बीच पैदल संपर्क समाप्त हो गया है।
बता दें कि लक्ष्मण झूला पुल को शासन ने 13 जुलाई 2019 को बंद कर दिया था। स्थानीय नागरिकों की समस्या को देखते हुए इस पर सिर्फ पैदल चलने की आवाजाही की छूट दी गई थी। पास ही नए पुल के निर्माण के आदेश दिए गए थे। पुल के निर्माण के लिए चंडीगढ़ की कंपनी को काम दिया गया था। हालांकि इस निर्माण का टेंडर ही विवादित हो गया था।
” पुल की विंड वायर टूटी है। करीब सौ साल पुरानी यह वायर जंक के कारण टूटी है। हालांकि इससे पुल को कोई बड़ा खतरा नहीं है। इसमें पुल का वैट नहीं है। इस पुल के बगल में दूसरे पुल का निर्माण किया जा रहा है। निर्माण कार्य के दौरान तार को निकाला जा रहा था, तब ही यह जर्जर तार टूट गई। वैसे भी सुरक्षा मानकों के लिहाज से इस पुल को असुरक्षित माना गया है। दूसरे पुल के निर्माण के बाद ही यहां पर पूरी तरह से आवागमन हो पाएगा।
