सैनिक पुत्र धामी में दैवीय आपदा से जूझने में सेना के जवान वाला जज्बा देखने को मिल रहा है। रात-दिन तूफानी दौरे, त्वरित फैसले और कड़क मॉनिटरिंग से युवा मुख्यमंत्री ने अपने कौशल का परिचय दिया है। बीते 17 और 18 अक्टूबर को आई मूसलाधार बारिश ने उत्तराखण्ड के कई जिलों में तबाही मचा दी।

मंगलवार की देर रात तक प्रभावित लोगों दुख-दर्द बांटने के बाद बुधवार की सुबह हल्द्वानी में उन्होंने ’जनता दरबार’ लगाया और स्थानीय लोगों की समस्याएं सुनीं। अधिकांश समस्याओं का ’एट दि स्पॉट’ समाधान किया गया। अधिकारियों को सख्त हिदायत दी गई है कि आपदा प्रभावित लोगों की हर संभव मदद की जाए। उनकी समस्या का समाधान किया जाए और आवश्यक जरूरतें पूरी की जाएं।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने खटीमा के बाढग्रस्त प्रतापपुर व नौसर में ट्रेक्टर द्वारा पहुंचकर बाढ़ पीड़ित लोगों का हाल चाल जाना व किसानों से वार्ता की। उन्होने किसानो से कहा कि सरकार द्वारा हर सम्भव सहयोग किया जायेगा। इसके बाद मुख्यमंत्री  बण्डियां सत्रहमील होते हुए खटीमा में मेलाघाट रोड स्थित रेलवे कांसिग के पास दुकानदारों से मिलकर उनका हाल चाल जाना।

बाद में उन्होंने मेलाघाट रोड स्थित पकड़िया में स्थानीय लोगों से मुलाकात की। अपना घरबार व फसल गंवा चुके लोगों से मिलकर उन्हें ढाढस बंधाया। मुख्यमंत्री ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए हैं कि आपदा से हुए नुकसान का अतिशीघ्र आंकलन पर प्रभावितों को उचित मुआवजा दिया जाए।

जो लोग बेघर हो गए हैं, उनके आवास और भोजन की व्यवस्था की जाए। जिलाधिकारियों को बचाव व राहत अभियान की कमान अपने हाथ में लेने और हर घण्टे इसकी प्रगति से अपडेट रहने को कहा गया है।
