सूत्रों की मानें तो कांग्रेस ओम गोपाल रावत को नरेन्द्र नगर सीट से विधानसभा चुनाव लड़ाएगी। ओम गोपाल रावत उत्तराखंड क्रांति दल से साल 2007 में नरेंद्र नगर सीट से विधायक चुने गए थे।
बता दें कि 2017 में ओम गोपाल रावत निर्दलीय चुनाव लड़े थे, लेकिन भाजपा के सुबोध उनियाल से चुनाव हार गये थे। ओम गोपाल रावत के कांग्रेस में शामिल होने के बाद नरेंद्रनगर सीट पर चुनाव बहुत दिलचस्प होगा।
टिहरी में घनसाली की पूर्व ब्लाक प्रमुख नीलम बिष्ट ने भी आज कांग्रेस का हाथ थाम लिया। पूर्व ब्लॉक प्रमुख नीलम बिष्ट ने पूर्व सीएम हरीश रावत के आवास पर काँग्रेस की सदस्यता ली।
उधर, पार्टी के महासचिव केसी वेणुगोपाल की ओर से जारी नियुक्ति पत्र में ज्योति रौतेला को प्रदेश महिला कांग्रेस का अध्यक्ष, कमलेश रमन, अलका पाल, भागीरथी बिष्ट व आशा मनोरमा डोबरियाल शर्मा को वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष मनोनीत किया है।
बता दें कि सरिता आर्य के हाल ही में भाजपा में जाने से महिला प्रदेश अध्यक्ष का पद रिक्त हुआ है, जिसकी जिम्मेदारी आज पार्टी ने ज्योति रौतेला को सौंपी है। ज्योति लैंसडौन विधानसभा से एक बार चुनाव लड़ चुकी है। काँग्रेस की राजनीति में हरक सिंह के निकट रही ज्योति रौतेला इस बार भी लैंसडौन से टिकट की दावेदार थी, लेकिन ऐन मौके पर हरक की बहु अनुकृति गुसाईं को टिकट देने के बाद ज्योति को रिक्त प्रदेश महिला कांग्रेस की कुर्सी सौंपी गई।
