मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत ने बीते रोज मुख्यमंत्री आवास में नगर विकास मंत्री श्री मदन कौशिक एवं अखाड़ा परिषद के अध्यक्ष महंत नरेन्द्र गिरी एवं अन्य अखाड़ों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ आगामी कुम्भ मेले के आयोजन के संबंध में विचारविमर्श किया।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि अखाड़ा परिषद के सदस्यों के विचार एवं सुझावों पर त्वरित कार्यवाही की जाएगी। उन्होंने अखाड़ा परिषद के सदस्यों से अपनी समस्याओं से नगर विकास मंत्री को अवगत कराने को कहा। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र ने कहा कि 2021 में हरिद्वार में आयोजित होने वाला कुम्भ निर्धारित समय पर आयोजित होगा। इसका स्वरूप कैसा रहेगा यह उस समय की परिस्थितियों पर भी निर्भर रहेगा।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि अखाड़ों द्वारा श्रद्धालुओं के लिये अपने स्तर पर की जाने वाली व्यवस्थाओं के लिये जिनके पास भूमि उपलब्ध होगी उन्हें ग्रान्ट के रूप में धनराशि उपलब्ध करायी जायेगी, कार्यों की गुणवत्ता आदि की जांच हेतु विभागीय अधिकारी को जिम्मेदारी सौंपी जायेगी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कुम्भ से पूर्व हरिद्वार में संचालित सभी स्थायी निर्माण कार्य पूर्ण कर दिये जायेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि हरिद्वार को जोड़ने वाले पुलों एवं सड़कों के निर्माण में भी तेजी से कार्य किया जा रहा है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने अखाड़ा परिषद के सदस्यों को आश्वस्त किया कि उनकी समस्याओं का त्वरित समाधान किया जायेगा। अखाड़ों को जोड़ने वाली सड़कों के पुनर्निर्माण के साथ ही अतिक्रमण को हटाने तथा साफसफाई पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जायेगा।

अखाड़ा परिषद के अध्यक्ष महंत नरेन्द्र गिरी ने मुख्यमंत्री से हरिद्वार कुम्भ मेले में घाटों का नाम 13 अखाड़ों के ईष्ट देवों तथा सेक्टरों के नाम भी अखाड़ों के नाम पर रखे जाने का अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने अखाड़ों को दी जाने वाली धनराशि से होने वाले कार्यों की गुणवत्ता की जांच आदि के लिये किसी अधिकारी को नामित करने का भी अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने अखाड़ों के सम्पर्क मार्गों की मरम्मत, बिजली, पानी, साफसफाई, शौचालयों की मरम्मत आदि के लिए भी मेले से जुड़े अधिकारियों को निर्देश देने का अनुरोध मुख्यमंत्री से किया।

बैठक में आई.जी कुम्भ मेला संजय गुंज्याल, महंत रवीन्द्र पुरी, महंत देवेन्द्र सिंह शास्त्री, महंत भगत राम, रणधीर गिरी, अम्बिका पुरी, बलराम भारती, प्रेम दास आदि उपस्थित थे।
