देहरादून। विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर उत्तराखंड पेयजल निगम के समस्त कार्यालयों में पर्यावरण संरक्षण संबंधी कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए। इस दौरान पौधरोपण भी किया गया।
पेयजल निगम परिसर, कमला नगर, देहरादून में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अभियंता (गढ़वाल) इं. एससी पंत के नेतृत्व में पौधरोपण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस मौके पर विभिन्न प्रजाति के लगभग 50 पौध लगाए गए। मुख्य अभियंता गढ़वाल ने समस्त कार्मिकों को पर्यावरण संरक्षण की शपथ दिलाई।
मुख्य अभियंता पंत ने पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए सोलर आधारित पंपिंग पेयजल योजनाएं अधिक से अधिक बनाए बनाए जाने, अधिक ऊर्जा दक्षता के पंप लगाए जाने, नवीनतम तकनीक का इस्तेमाल करते हुए अधिकतम ऊर्जा बचत करने और भूजल संवर्धन कार्यक्रम को युद्ध स्तर पर चलाने के निर्देश दिए।
कार्यक्रम में अधिशासी अभियंता, निर्माण शाखा, देहरादून इं. मिशा सिन्हा, अधिशासी अभियंता, यांत्रिक शाखा, देहरादून इं. जितेंद्र सिंह देव समेत इं. नवीन चंद्र बिष्ट, सहायक अभियंता, इं. जेबी शर्मा, सहायक अभियंता, धर्मेंद्र चौधरी, मंडली लेखाकार राधेश्याम सिंह अपर सहायक अभियंता, ईश्वर पाल शर्मा पूर्व महासचिव लाल झंडा यूनियन समेत कई कार्मिक मौजूद रहे।
