हरिद्वार। कोरोना महाामारी के दौर में पिछले कई दिनों से योग गुरु बाबा रामदेव और एलोपैथिक चिकित्सकों के बीच तीखी बहस चल रही है, जो थमने का नाम नहीं के रही है। बाबा द्वारा एलोपैथी चिकित्सा को लेकर उठाए गए सवाल पर इंडियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन ने कड़ी आपत्ति दर्ज की है।

इस बीच देश के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ हर्षवर्धन ने बाबा रामदेव से अपने बयानों को लेकर माफी मांगने के संबंध में पत्र लिखा गया है, जिसके बाद बाबा ने माफी तो मांगी, अगले ही पल बाबा ने इंडियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन और फार्मा कंपनियों से 25 सवालों का एक पत्र जारी करते हुए जवाब मांगा है।

दरअसल, बाबा के बयान के बाद भारतीय चिकित्सा संघ (आईएमए) ने केन्द्र सरकार से मांग की है कि ‘अज्ञानता भरी’ टिप्पणी करके कथित रूप से लोगों को भ्रमित करने और एलोपैथी दवाओं को ‘मूर्खतापूर्ण विज्ञान’ बताने के लिए योग गुरु बाबा रामदेव के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाए।

आईएमए ने कहा कि ‘‘संकट की इस घड़ी में पूरा देश महामारी के खिलाफ लड़ रहा है। अपना और अपने परिवार की जान जोखिम में डाल रहा है, जो संसाधन हैं, उन्हीं के बल पर मुकाबला कर रहा है। बाबा रामदेव ने निजी हित के लिए मेडिकल साइंस (चिकित्सा विज्ञान) और मेडिकल पेशे (डॉक्टरी और अन्य संबद्ध पेशे) की धज्जियां उड़ायी हैं।’’

यह विवाद फिलहाल थमता नजर नहीं आ रहा है। माफी मांगने के बाद बाबा और आक्रामक हो गए। बाबा रामदेव ने अब इंडियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन व फार्मा कंपनियों से 25 सवाल पूछे हैं, जिनका उन्होंने जवाब मांगा है।
