देहरादून। उत्तराखंड पेयजल निगम के प्रभारी प्रबन्ध निदेशक एसके पन्त को हटा दिया है। शासन ने अपर सचिव पेयजल उदयराज सिंह को पेयजल निगम के एमडी का अतिरिक्त प्रभार सौंपा है।
अनु सचिव हनुमान प्रसाद तिवारी की ओर से जारी आदेश में कहा गया है कि अपर सचिव उदयराज सिंह को पेयजल निगम का अतिरिक्त प्रभार दिया जाता है। वह नियमित नियुक्ति तक इस पद पर बने रहेंगे। साथ ही उनसे अपेक्षा की गई है कि वह इस पद पर अविलम्ब कार्यभार ग्रहण करें।
उधर, इस पद का अतिरिक्त प्रभार देख रहे एसके पन्त को लेकर आदेश में कुछ भी नहीं है। निगम सूत्रों के मुताबिक उन्हें स्वजल परियोजना का दायित्व सौंपा जा सकता है, लेकिन अभी तक इस तरह के कोई आदेश जारी नहीं हुए है।
प्रभारी एमडी एसके पन्त को कोरोना महामारी के बीच अचानक हटाए जाने को लेकर निगम में कई तरह की चर्चाएं हैं। इस बदलाव को उच्च स्तर पर अधिकारियों की आपसी लड़ाई से जोड़कर भी देखा जा रहा है।
असल वजह क्या है, इसकी कोई जानकारी नहीं है, लेकिन निगम के अभियन्ता इस बात से खासे आहत हैं कि बगैर आरोप के किसी अधिकारी को पद से हटाना उसके मौलिक अधिकार का हनन है। यदि उन पर कोई आरोप हैं यो उसे सार्वजनिक किया जाना चाहिए।
दरअसल पन्त की नियुक्ति के समय भी जारी आदेश में भी यही लिखा गया था कि नियमित नियुक्ति होने पर यह प्रभार स्वतः ही समाप्त हो जाएगा, लेकिन वर्तमान में भी शासन द्वारा अस्थाई तौर पर एमडी की नियुक्ति की गई है। ऐसे में सवाल उठने लाजमी है। बहरहाल इस सब के बीच नव नियुक्त एमडी उदयराज सिंह ने आज कार्यभार ग्रहण कर लिया है। वह भी ईमानदार अफसरों में गिने जाते हैं।
