जनपक्ष टुडे ऊर्जा निगम के गदरपुर सब डिवीजन में गबन के मामले में में अधिशासी अभियंता (ईई) समेत चार लोगों को निलंबित कर दिया गया है, जिन्हें मुख्य अभियंता रुद्रपुर जोन कार्यालय से अटैच कर दिया गया है।

गबन का मामला ऊर्जा निगम के गदरपुर सब डिवीजन का है। हाल ही में यहां सहायक लेखाधिकारी को भेजा गया था। जब उन्होंने अकाउंट की पड़ताल की, तो उन्हें बड़े स्तर पर खामियां मिली। जब गहन पड़ताल की गई तो पता चला कि यहां साल भर से भी अधिक समय से बिजली बिल के रूप में जितना राजस्व जमा होना चाहिए था, वो नहीं हो रहा था।

इसकी उच्च स्तर पर शिकायत की गई, तो मालूम चला कि बड़े स्तर पर बिजली बिलों का पैसा ऊर्जा निगम के खाते में जमा ही नहीं कराया गया। मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए सबसे पहले मुख्य अभियंता रुद्रपुर जोन ने कैशियर पुष्पेंद्र शर्मा को निलंबित किया। इसके बाद बुधवार देर शाम मुख्यालय से अधिशासी अभियंता गोविंद सिंह कार्की, एसडीओ फरमान हैदर जैदी और सहायक अभियंता राजस्व संजय कुमार को निलंबित कर दिया गया।

निदेशक ऑपरेशन एमएल प्रसाद ने बताया कि मामले की जांच एसई राजकुमार को दे दी गई है। उनकी अध्यक्षता में जांच कमेटी बनाई गई है।
