ऋषिकेश बदरीनाथ राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग-58 को तोता घाटी में चल रहे काम के कारण यात्रियों की सुरक्षा को देखते हुए अग्रिम आदेशों तक पूर्ण रूप से बंद कर दिया गया है। अग्रिम आदेशों तक यहां का आवागमन वैकल्पिक रास्तों से होगा।

रविवार को जिलाधिकारियों के साथ बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री ने जिलाधिकारी टिहरी को इसके निर्देश दिए थे। बता दे कि तोताघाटी में कटिंग और सड़क चौड़ीकरण का कार्य चल रहा है।

 

यातायात के कारण बार-बार काम को रोकने से काम की गति प्रभावित होती है। वहीं यात्रियों की सुरक्षा को भी खतरा रहता है। इस दृष्टि से मुख्यमंत्री ने आवागमन के लिए वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित करते हुए तोताघाटी को कुछ दिनों तक बंद करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।

तोताघाटी में लंबे समय से बदरीनाथ राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग का सुधारीकरण कार्य चल रहा है। मलबा आने से यहां बार-बार यातायात बाधित हो रहा है। रविवार को तीन घंटे हाईवे बंद था। शनिवार को भी तोताघाटी में मलबा आने से लगभग 12 घंटे राजमार्ग अवरुद्ध रहा था।
