ऋषिकेश। गढ़वाल मंडल विकास निगम तथा उत्तराखंड पर्यटन विकास परिषद की ओर से ऋषिकेश के मुनीकीरेती में सात दिवसीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग महोत्सव शुरू हो गया। कृषि मंत्री सुबोध उनियाल ने योग महोत्सव का उद्घाटन किया। इस बार योग महोत्सव को कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण के खतरे को देखते हुए ज्यादा विस्तार नहीं दिया गया है।
अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग महोत्सव का आयोजन प्रत्येक वर्ष एक मार्च से सात मार्च तक किया जाता है। इस वर्ष विश्वव्यापी कोरोनावायरस के कारण विदेशी योग साधक योग महोत्सव का हिस्सा नहीं बन पाए हैं।
लगभग 450 भारतीय योग साधक योग महोत्सव में शिरकत कर रहे हैं। सात दिवसीय योग महोत्सव में योग कक्षाओं के अलावा कई सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जा र हे हैं। इस आयोजन में कई प्रतिष्ठित योग शिक्षक व आध्यात्मिक गुरु ऑनलाइन व ऑफलाइन माध्यम से जुड़कर योग साधकों का मार्गदर्शन करेंगे।
सोमवार को मुनीकीरेती में गढ़वाल मंडल विकास निगम के गंगा रिसोर्ट में गंगा तट पर बने मुख्य हैंगर में अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग महोत्सव का उद्घाटन कृषि मंत्री सुबोध उनियाल, स्वामी रविन्द्र गिरि, आचार्य बालकृष्ण व जीएमवीएन के अध्यक्ष महावीर सिंह रांगड़ ने संयुक्त रूप से किया।
कृषि मंत्री सुबोध उनियाल ने कहा कि अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग महोत्सव तीर्थ नगरी की पहचान है। कोरोना संक्रमण के बीच यह आयोजन अपने आप में एक बड़ा संदेश देता है। उन्होंने कहा कि योग कम है तो आज पूरी दुनिया समझ चुकी है यही वजह है कि आज पूरी दुनिया योग को अपना रही है। योग महोत्सव के उद्घाटन अवसर पर उत्तराखंड संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय हरिद्वार के योग विभाग की टीम ने योग आसन व क्रियाओं का प्रदर्शन किया।
इस अवसर पर गढ़वाल मंडल विकास निगम के प्रबंध निदेशक आशीष कुमार चौहान, गढ़वाल मंडल विकास निगम के उपाध्यक्ष कृष्ण कुमार सिंघल, नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष मुनीकीरेती रोशन रतूड़ी, मंडी समिति के अध्यक्ष विनोद कुकरेती, दायित्व धारी करण वोहरा, ग्रैंड मास्टर अक्षर, उषा माता आदि मौजूद थे।
