देहरादून/चमोली। एनटीपीसी ने 7 फरवरी को तपोवन बे आई प्राकृतिक आपदा में जान गंवाने वाले श्रमिकों के परिवारों को मुआवजा देना शुरू कर दिया है। आज तपोवन विहार के स्वर्गीय नरेंद्र की पत्नी विमलादेवी को 20 लाख रुपये का पहला चेक सौंपा गया। तपोवन परियोजना के प्रमुख आरपी अहिरवार के नेतृत्व में एनटीपीसी की एक टीम ने सोमवार को विमला देवी के घर जाकर संवेदना व्यक्त की।

इस बीच एनटीपीसी सहित कई एजेंसियों की तरफ से सुरंग में फंसे लोगों तक पहुंचने के लिए व्यापक समन्वित कार्य के साथ लगातार नौवें दिन साइट पर बचाव अभियान पूरे जोरों पर है । एनटीपीसी की समर्पित टीमें बचाव दलों की सहायता कर के समूचे बचाव अभियान का प्रबंधन कर रही हैं।कंपनी ने हाई एंड सबमर्सिबल स्लशरिमूवल पंपों सहित ऑपरेशन को तेज करने के लिए मशीनरी को एयर लिफ्ट किया है।

गौरतलब है कि तपोवन परियोजनाअचानकआई बाढ़ के खिलाफ चट्टान की तरह अडिग खड़ी रही और प्रकृति के प्रकोप को कम करने में इसकी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रही। उल्लेखनीय है कि परियोजना के कारण बैराज ने कई गांवों को बह जाने से बचा लिया।

एनटीपीसी ने तपोवन स्थल पर प्रशासन के साथ समन्वय स्थापित करने और प्रत्येक लापता श्रमिक के बारे में सभी आवश्यक जानकारी एकत्र करने के लिए एक कार्यबल की स्थापना की है। बचाव अभियान के लिए सभी आवश्यक मशीनरीव र्तमान में उपलब्ध हैं, जबकि किसी भी अतिरिक्त संसाधनों की आवश्यकता को युद्ध स्तर पर पूरा किया जा रहा है।
