नई दिल्ली।  तमाम संकटों के बीच देश में कोरोना के खिलाफ लड़ाई जारी है। वैक्सीनेशन का काम भी चल रहा है, लेकिन इन कोशिशों में अब एक और हथियार जुड़ गया है। DRDO द्वारा डेवलेप की गई दवाई 2-DG अब अस्पतालों में उपलब्ध होगी, जो मरीजों को कोरोना के खिलाफ लड़ाई लड़ने में मदद करेगी।

सोमवार को रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह, स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन की मौजूदगी में इसे लॉन्च किया गया। ये दवाई कैसे बनी, किसने बनाई, इससे क्या फायदा होगा और कौन इसे ले सकता है, आपके हर जरूरी सवाल का जवाब जान लीजिए…आखिर क्या है 2-DG?

देश जब कोरोना वायरस के खिलाफ लड़ाई को लड़ रहा था, तब रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (DRDO) ने हैदराबाद की डॉ. रेड्डी लैब्स के साथ मिलकर एक दवाई पर काम किया, जिसका नाम 2-डिऑक्सी-डी-ग्लूकोज यानी 2-DG दिया गया है। करीब एक साल की मेहनत के बाद ये दवाई बनी है, जिसे सोमवार को अस्पतालों, आम लोगों के लिए जारी कर दिया गया है।

कोरोना संकट में कैसे मदद करेगी ये दवाई? इस दवाई को लेकर DRDO और सरकार द्वारा जो जानकारी दी गई है, उसके मुताबिक यह अस्पताल में भर्ती मरीजों की तेजी से रिकवरी करने में मदद करती है और बाहर से ऑक्सीजन देने पर निर्भरता को कम करती है। अधिक मात्रा में कोविड मरीजों के 2-DG के साथ इलाज से उनमें RT-PCR नेगेटिव रिजल्ट देखा गया।

ऐसे में दावा है कि यह दवा कोविड-19 से पीड़ित लोगों के लिए काफी फायदेमंद होगी. देश में जिस तरह कोविड मरीजों के लिए ऑक्सीजन की कमी हो गई थी, उस मोर्चे पर भी ये कारगर साबित हो सकती है.क्लिक करें: योगी सरकार ने ऑक्सीजन उत्पादन क्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए बनाई नीति, राज्यपाल ने दी मंजूरी

ये दवा ऐसे करेगी वायरस का खात्मा

पिछले साल जब कोरोना की शुरुआत में लॉकडाउन लगा, तब DRDO के वैज्ञानिक इस दवाई को बनाने में जुट गए थे. अप्रैल 2020 में महामारी की पहली लहर के दौरान INMAS-DRDO के वैज्ञानिकों ने सेंटर फॉर सेलुलर एंड मॉलिक्यूलर बायोलॉजी (CCMB) हैदराबाद की मदद से प्रयोगशाला परीक्षण किए और पाया कि यह दवा सार्स-सीओवी-2 वायरस के खिलाफ प्रभावी ढंग से काम करती है और वायरल बढ़ने को रोकती है।

इसके नतीजों के आधार पर ही ड्रग्स कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया (DCGI) सेंट्रल ड्रग्स स्टैंडर्ड कंट्रोल ऑर्गनाइजेशन (CDSO) ने मई 2020 में कोविड-19 रोगियों में 2-डीजी के चरण-2 के नैदानिक परीक्षण की अनुमति दी.कहां और कितने लोगों पर किया गया ट्रायल? दवाई के बारे में PIB पर उपलब्ध जानकारी के मुताबिक, DRDO ने अपने उद्योग सहयोगी डीआरएल हैदराबाद के साथ मिलकर कोविड-19 मरीजों में दवा की सुरक्षा और प्रभावकारिता की जांच के लिए ट्रायल की शुरुआत की थी।

मई से अक्टूबर 2020 के दौरान किए गए फेज-II के ट्रायल (डोज़ रेजिंग समेत) में दवा कोविड-19 रोगियों में सुरक्षित पाई गई और उनकी रिकवरी में महत्वपूर्ण सुधार दिखाया गया. दूसरे फेज़ को छह अस्पतालों में किया गया और देश भर के 11 अस्पतालों में फेज II B (डोज रेजिंग) क्लीनिकल ट्रायल किया गया, फेज-2 में 110 मरीजों का ट्रायल किया गया।

दूसरे चरण में जब कुछ सफलता मिली, तब तीसरे चरण में इसका ट्रायल दिल्ली, यूपी, बंगाल, गुजरात, राजस्थान, महाराष्ट्र, समेत कई राज्यों के 27 अस्पतालों में किया गया, इनमें 220 मरीजों पर ट्रायल हुआ।

कैसे फायदेमंद साबित होगी 2-DG?

दवाई के ट्रायल के दौरान देखा गया है कि मरीज के शरीर में विशिष्ट महत्वपूर्ण संकेतों से संबंधित मापदंड सामान्य बनाने में लगने वाले औसत समय में स्टैंडर्ड ऑफ केयर (SOC) की तुलना में एक अच्छा अंतर (2.5 दिन का अंतर) देखा गया। जब DRDO ने इसके तीसरे ट्रायल के नतीजे सामने रखे, तो 2-DG के मामले में रोगियों के लक्षणों में काफी अधिक अनुपात में सुधार देखा गया और SOC की तुलना में तीसरे दिन तक रोगी पूरक ऑक्सीजन निर्भरता (42% से 31%) से आज़ाद हो गए जो ऑक्सीजन थेरेपी से जल्दी राहत मिलने का संकेत है।

इसे कैसे लें और ये कैसे काम करेगी?

जानकारी के मुताबिक, ये दवाई एक पाउच में पाउडर के रूप में मिलेगी जिसे पानी में घोलकर लिया जाता है. यह वायरस संक्रमित कोशिकाओं में जमा होती है और वायरल संश्लेषण और ऊर्जा उत्पादन को रोककर वायरस को बढ़ने से रोकती है। वायरस से संक्रमित कोशिकाओं में इसका चयनात्मक संचय इस दवा को बेजोड़ बनाता है. बताया गया है कि ग्लूकोज का एक सामान्य अंश और एनालॉग होने के नाते इसे आसानी से उत्पादित किया जा सकता है और देश में अधिक मात्रा में उपलब्ध कराया जा सकता है।
