देहरादून। कोरोना महामारी एक के बाद एक जीवन लील रही है। मंगलवार को जल संस्थान पिथौरागढ़ के अधिशासी अभियंता अशोक कुमार के बाद आज फिर ऊर्जा निगम के एक और अधिकारी को कोरोना ने अपने आगोश ने लिया है।
विद्युत वितरण खंड रुद्रपुर द्वितीय में तैनात एसडीओ विनोद कुमार का मेडिसिटी अस्पताल में उपचार के दौरान आज सुबह निधन हो गया है।
बता दें कि कोरोनाकाल में ऊर्जा निगम और जल संस्थान के अधिकारी और कर्मचारी फ्रंटलाइन कोरोना वारियर्स की भूमिका में लगातार काम कर रहे है। लेकिन कोरोना महामारी की चपेट में आकर वे अपने साथियों को भी खो रहे है।
बिडम्बना यह है कि आवश्यक सेवा में काम कर रहे जल संस्थान और ऊर्जा निगम के अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों को सरकार की ओर से कोई सुविधाएं मुहैया नहीं कराई गई है। बगैर पीपीई किट के जान जोखिम में डालकर आवश्यक सेवा के ये अधिकारी-कर्मचारी काम करने को मजबूर हैं।
हालत यह है कि इनके पास न तो कोरोना कूट है और न ही इनका वैक्सिनेशन किया गया है। भगवान न करे कि आगे भी किसी अधिकारी-कर्मचारी की कोरोना की चपेट मी आकर मृत्यु हो जाती है, तो उसके परिवार का भरण-पोषण कैसे होगा। इसकी सरकार को कोई चिंता नहीं है। उहाँ तक कि उपचार के लिए कार्मिकों के गोल्डन कार्ड तक नहीं है।
अपने साथ हो रही नाइंसाफी से ऊर्जा निगम और जल संस्थान के अधिकारी-कर्मचारी भयभीत हैं। ऐसे ने सरकार को आवश्यक सेवा में लगे अधिकारियों और कार्मिकों को पूरी सुरक्षा देनी चाहिए, ताकि इस महामारी ने उनका मनोबल न टूटे।
यह भी बता दें कि कुछ दिन पहले ऊर्जा निगम के ही ऋषिकेश डिविज़न के अधिशासी अभियंता डीपी सिंह का भी कोविड-19 से मौत हो गई थी। अब उप खंड अधिकारी विनोद कुमार की असमय मौत से ऊर्जा निगम में शोक की लहर है।
