अब होमगार्ड्स विभाग में समूह ग की भर्ती में 25 प्रतिशत आरक्षण मिलेगा। वहीं, होमगार्ड्स की संख्या 6411 से बढ़कर 10001 की गई है। साथ ही अब कारागार में बंदी रक्षक के पद पर 25 प्रतिशत होमगार्ड्स रहेंगे।

बता दें कि आज होमगार्ड्स एवं नागरिक सुरक्षा स्थापना दिवस के मौके पर रैतिक परेड का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत को आना था, लेकिन व्यस्तता के कारण वे नहीं आ सके।
उनकी जगह कृषि मंत्री सुबोध उनियाल ने कार्यक्रम में की शिरकत की। वहीं, कमांडेंट जनरल आईजी पुष्पक ज्योति ने सीएम त्रिवेंद्र की ओर से की गई घोषणाओं को पढ़ा।
