देहरादून। उत्तराखंड के लिए आज एक और गौरवमयी पल आया है। उत्तरकाशी के पूर्व जिलाधिकारी रहे डॉ. आशीष चौहान के नाम पर अब स्पेन की एक चोटी जानी जाएगी। चौहान ने खुद फेसबुक पर ये जानकारी साझा की है। डॉ. चौहान को मिले इस सम्मान ने उत्तराखंड का नहीं देश का नाम भी गौरवान्वित किया है।

बता दें कि वर्ष 2012 बैच के इस के इस युवा आईएएस की कार्यप्रणाली का हर कोई मुरीद है। उनकी पहली पोस्टिंग नैनीताल के उपजिलाधिकारी के साथ , पिथौरागढ़ के मुख्य विकास अधिकारी के रूप में हुई।

फिर उत्तरकाशी के जिलाधिकारी के रूप में वह लोगों के दिलों में बस गए। अब तो विदेश में भी उनके कार्य की सराहना के साथ उनकी कार्यप्रणाली को पुरूस्कार के रूप में उनका ही नाम दे दिया गया।

इस वजह से मिला ये मुकाम

स्पेन के एक पर्वतारोही की डॉ आशीष चौहान ने अपने उत्तरकाशी के जिलाधिकारी के कार्यकाल के दौरान जो सहायता की वह अंटोनियो नाम के स्पेनिश नागरिक एवं पर्वतारोही के दिल दिमाग में बैठ गई। वह उनका और उनकी कार्यप्रणाली का मुरीद हो गया।

गत दिवस उस स्पेनिश नागरिक अंटोनिओ ने डॉ आशीष चौहान को सूचना दी कि वह स्पेन के एक वर्जिन शिखर ( अभी तक आरोहित नहीं) का नाम मजिस्ट्रेट पॉइंट / टिप तथा उस तक पहुंचने के रास्ते का नाम वाया आशीष रख रहा है।

बना ली अलग पहचान

जिला उत्तरकाशी में तैनाती के दौरान डॉक्टर चौहान ने दिन रात मेहनत करके जिले को पूरे प्रदेश सहित देश मे एक अलग पहचान दिलाई। पर्यटन की अपार संभावनाओ के लिए विख्यात जिला सिर्फ कागजों में सीमित रहा है।

लेकिन इन सभी संभावनाओं का व्यापक अध्ययन करने के बाद डॉक्टर चौहान ने जिले में गंगा आरती, फ्लोटिंग प्लेट फार्म, किशान आउट लेट सहित ,जल क्रीड़ा के लिए केनोईग, कयाकिग, पैरा ग्लाइडिंग आदि इवेंट्स आयोजित करा कर जिले को एक अलग रूप में प्रस्तुत किया।

वास्तव में रोजगार और पर्यटन की दृष्टि से ये एक अभिनव प्रयास रहा है । इतना ही नही विश्व प्रसिद्ध हर्षिल घाटी को विकसीत करने के लिए हर्षिल फेस्ट का आयोजन कराया गया ।

स्थानीय शैलेन्द्र, विनित, प्रभाकर आदि बताते है कि जिलाधिकारी बहुत देखे, लेकिन जनता से दूरी न रखने वाले हर किसी समस्या के निदान के लिए फौरी तौर पर तत्पर रहने वाले जिलाधिकारी के रूप में आशीष चौहान को पहली बार देखा है।
