व्यक्तिगत करदाताओं के लिये अच्छी खबर है। सरकार ने आयकर रिटर्न की तिथि को बढ़ा दिया है। पूर्व में निर्धारित तिथि को एक माह बढ़ा दिया है। वित्त वर्ष 2019-20 का आयकर रिटर्न (आईटीआर) दाखिल करने की समय सीमा एक महीने बढ़ाकर 31 दिसंबर कर दी गयी है।

वित्त मंत्रालय ने शनिवार को इसकी घोषणा की। मंत्रालय ने कहा कि जिन करदाताओं के खाताओं की ऑडिट करने की जरूरत हैए उनके लिये आईटीआर दाखिल करने की समय.सीमा दो महीने बढ़ाकर 31 जनवरी 2021 कर दी गई है।

सरकार ने इससे पहले मई में भी करदाताओं को राहत देते हुए वित्त वर्ष 2019-20 के आईटीआर भरने की समय सीमा 31 जुलाई से बढ़ाकर 30 नवंबर कर दी थी। केंद्रीय प्रत्यक्ष कर बोर्ड (सीबीडीटी) ने एक बयान में कहा आयकर रिटर्न भरने की समय सीमा विस्तार से पहले 31 जुलाई 2020 थी, उनके लिये समय सीमा 31 दिसंबर 2020 तक बढ़ा दी गयी है।

इसी तरह जिन करदाताओं के खाताओं की ऑडिट किए जाने की जरूरत है और जिनकी समय सीमा पहले 31 अक्टूबर 2020 थी, वे अब 31 जनवरी 2021 तक आईटीआर भर सकते हैं। सीबीडीटी ने कहा कि करदाताओं को आईटीआर भरने में अधिक समय देने के लिये समय सीमा बढ़ायी गई है।
