उत्तराखंड में शनिवार को मतदाता सूची में नाम जुड़वाने और पता व नाम शुद्धिकरण के लिए मौसम खराब होने की वजह से विभिन्न बूथों पर कम लोग पहुंच पाए। इसके चलते कई बूथों पर बूथ लेवल अधिकारी ( बीएलओ) मतदाताओं का इंतजार करते नजर आए।

देहरादून जिले के सहायक निर्वाचन अधिकारी पीएस रावत ने बताया कि जिन भारतीय नागरिकों की आयु एक जनवरी 2021 को 18 वर्ष या उससे अधिक पूरी हो चुकी हो, वह मतदाता सूची में अपना नाम दर्ज करा सकते हैं। इसके लिए निर्वाचन विभाग के निर्देश पर 13 दिसंबर को भी मतदाता सूची में पंजीकरण के लिए विशेष अभियान चलाया जाएगा।

जिसके तहत सभी पोलिंग बूथ पर बूथ लेवल अधिकारियों (बीएलओ) को सुबह नौ बजे से शाम पांच बजे तक उपस्थित रहने के सख्त निर्देश दिए गए हैं। सहायक निर्वाचन अधिकारी पीएस रावत ने कहा कि जिनको भी अपना नाम मतदाता सूची में दर्ज या शुद्धीकरण कराना हो, वह नाम, पता और आयु के प्रमाण के अलावा अपना एक नवीनतम रंगीन फोटो साथ में लेकर बूथ पर पहुंचे।

अपने क्षेत्र के संबंधित बीएलओ से संपर्क कर जरूरी फार्म लेकर उसे भरें। यह फॉर्म वहीं पर बीएलओ को जमा करा दें। निर्वाचन कार्यालय द्वारा जरूरी कार्रवाई के बाद सभी दस्तावेज सही पाए जाने पर उनका नाम मतदाता सूची में दर्ज कर लिया जाएगा।

उन्होंने आमजन से अपील की है कि अधिक से अधिक संख्या में मतदाता सूची में नामांकन करवा कर लोकतंत्र को मजबूत करने में अपनी भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करें। साथ ही टोल फ्री नंबर 1950 पर संपर्क कर इससे संबंधित जरूरी जानकारी ली जा सकती है।
